New Primary Care Health Centre at the former Cambrian Railway Works, Oswestry for Shropshire Primary Care Trust
A 4000m2 Primary Care Centre for a GP Practice and Shropshire County Primary Care Trust which reached practical completion in September 2011.
An innovative and complex scheme involving the conversion of an existing Grade II listed Victorian railway works into a state of the art primary care centre incorporating a minor injuries unit, diagnostics suite, X-Ray department, GP Practice, Dental Suite and PCT offices.
Castlemead conceived of the proposal after plans to build a new Primary Care Centre on adjacent land were stopped by a Village Green registration. The land and buildings have been secured, planning and listed building consent gained, business case approval gained and the scheme has received acclaim from Health professionals and English Heritage.
